Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

I thought these birds were wilder than storks in Europe, but they have their nest very close to the houses! Very lovely capture with the babies :-)

C'est une merveilleuse capture mon ami . Cette photographie est absolument exceptionnelle tant par le point de vue (cadrage) que par le sujet habillement choisi... Bref c'est juste parfait. It is a wonderful capture my friend. This photography is absolutely exceptional both by the POV (and centring) and by the subject chosen clothing... In brief it is just perfect.

Wonderful birds! I hope they don't get forced from their homes!

The background homes are hundreds of yards away from these nests and this entire swamp is in an area protected by Palm Beach County.

Great capture, Dana! Hmm...not a really attractive bird, but still very cool. I have never seen one, so that would be a treat. Those are really big babies for a month old, LOL. I shall have to visit Wikipedia to see that they eat, etc.
