Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
Okay, one more, and most likely, the last shot of this tightly knit troupe as they while away the day at the Faire. I showed the dude with the sharp horns yesterday. And note the tattoo on the doll's upper arm.
ZOOM at all costs.

Surrealistic indeed, this group of faire attendees; I'm still loving the armour on the horned guy. It's looking sort of Cretan-influenced, I think. And I'm still impressed that the chain mail wearing guy is upright and not fainted away with the heat in that costume. Is the young lady texting someone? You'd think they'd have a technology ban at the gates at this affair! Superb capture, Harry, so much to see as always!

I know I've commented on two others of this group, and you have a solo shot too...but I guess I do a few 'themes' in my sessions, and this seems to be one of them. I love the shot, and it should have had more comments too. The masked guy looks positively clunky here, as if he's posing this way for fun to look like a big lump of a person. Or a bull. I love how he faces you, while the other people are about their own business. Also, it looks like he's wearing some kind of loafers! Or slip-ons---real combat wear! We get to see the wire-mesh knight from behind---that's a long sword! And no insignia on his back. And the lady is one of the highlights of the shot, because she appears to be texting (denise) and she's got some note or card in her mouth. A great candid, perfect contrast with the heavily armed dudes around her. The buccaneer is back there too (he never really smiles, does he...) With the masked guy seeming to say, "THIS is where the picture's at, dude---on me, not them." Nice balance between the banner-rope on one side and the umbrella and banners on the other...A very vivid image, Harry, and this little mini series was a real delight.
