Description

Machinery on the deck of a ferry we took crossing from Vancouver to the Sunshine Coast. The original photo was mostly white & gray metal. I used lots of filter & layer blending & trial & error to get this result... Please zoom.

I LOVE this excellent piece of art of yours, photosynthesis!! It might have been rendered by a really good graphic artist. The line, the colors, the framing all come together to make this one of the best images on yours I've seen. Thank you!!

I thought I'd commented on this, but I guess I didn't. Your greens and pinks---complementary colors (and therefore very contrasting)---make each other shine. Your edge work brings out the music of the lines, your liberal darks set off the hues, and the overall feel is both with perspective and also 'flat'---it's almost a mechanical abstract, like a 2 dimensional painting. A fine treatment of machinery: You got the "fugue" all wrapped up in it, and it's playful too. Not that I'd wanna be "inside" that stuff---I may never come out---but it has a real visual play. Fine work, Claude. You can do this to photographs anytime. A melancholy large-scale jigsaw puzzle.
