Taken in Vancouver, B.C. last year. I just liked this old fashioned & unpretentious sign outside a bakery. My reflection was incidental & unplanned... Please zoom.

Pearl earrings, gloves, not a hair out of place ... and she bakes, too! My my. Those MUST have been the good old days! LOL! I like it that your reflection is included. You've given this old ad a self-referential anchor, which in turns emphasizes its historical context. Or maybe that's just me. :P This is great!

Love Tara's comment. Yep, gloves and pearl earrings and not a hair out of place---a real 50's American housewife-archetype. It almost has Disney-like features---big open eyes (like those disney animals), 3 tones on the lips, all that pink (like baby-pink, pure and innocent), and a look of delighted surprise. (Gloves! While baking! Sheeez!) Outlined and haloe'd. Nice cropping, Claude, and I love the reflection, not just because we get to see you---which is always nice---but because we get to see the clear lines of the real world back there, sans the aurora borealis of this eye-popping sign. Very clean photo---not a blemish in sight. And you fit right into the space between her collar and her sleeve. Inadvertent, I realize, but perfect. (Who wears gloves in the kitchen!) Delightful.
