Description
Captured back on 4/5/2007, at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Canada-Flintridge, California.
There are tons of tulips at this botanical garden, so this may be one variety of them. Any IDs or ideas out there?
Because this was a low resolution shot, a ZOOM comes out just slightly larger.
Ciao.

What a stunningly beautiful composition Harry! They look like tulips to me, so I think you're right there. Gorgeous colours and great POV to show those amazing central bits. Well done!

I don't know flowers well enough to ID them, but the shot is beautiful. Another beautiful entry from your archive. It's partly in the beautiful saturated oranges and yellows. And partly in the textures, which make these feel like they're made of dessert material (like you could eat them), or of some delicate plastic. And partly from the beautiful positions of the petals---the front-most flower seems to be angling out at us, as if it were carved that way rather than grown that way. A simple shot but eloquent. And another beautiful flower shot from you. So glad you're going into your archives, you have a lot of fine work sitting there. This is a beauty. Well I'm at almost 100 minutes now, so I'll have to stop. I did 9 images---that's almost 1 per every 10 minutes. (I'm getting faster!) Anyway, it's a pleasure; and though I'm far from catching up, I'm getting some good treads into your offerings. And I hope to be back again soon. A real cornucopia here, and a real pleasure, Harry!
