Description

French Quarter New Orleans, Louisiana March, 2014 Preservation Hall is a famous music venue. Although I have no idea who was playing that night, HE does!

Nice shot Tara. I remember that place when I was there in 2006.

He looks fairly serious, but is had a little shock because he is a dead ringer for someone I used to know.

An excellent shot, as if you'd waited and then told him where to stand! Now I'm wondering who WAS playing...

Probably the Preservation Hall All Stars or the Southern Syncopaters (you can find anything on-line, even their March 2014 schedule). Nice black and white and great capture of their sign.

The capture mimics the moment as the subject also experiences that moment in time, his intense focus, the capture focus is exclusively on the the subject, all else doesn't exist.

Excellent, your f/2.8 has singled him out nice, but still kept good info in the background, great work here auntie. He looks a little to me like Ian Botham (Famous England cricketer)

I have stood in that same spot and listened to the music. What a great time you both must have had. And thanks for the memories this rejuvenates. :)

What a delicious shot! Human focus! Black and white. Implied, mysterious music, just out of frame. A city way over thataway--and substantially south of Chicago. What's not to like. This guy looks quite focused, and I suspect he recognizes the musical act probably announced on some tucked-away flier: not one of the main ones, but one maybe inside the vestibule. Or maybe he's just posing. I've seen people in Chicago suddenly faking interest in something because they sensed my camera. It's kinda fun when that happens. And as for the comments above, Andrea's comment has me thinking of that Gotye song with the oddly Peter Gabriel vibe. This is really great photo-shootin'.
