Description
This was one that I did during the closed beta for Octane Render for Carrara, testing out using replication to achieve the fur effect on the hood.

It can depend on the scene, but in general, yes a lot faster!

Great skin and that technique worked very well for fur. Makes me think it'd work for simple, short hair styles and beards.

Wonderful stuff. Been playing with Octane for Carrarra myself. Having trouble with some of the shaders, but I'm sure they'll get that sorted.
