I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Amazing! Two great costumes...though I'm leaning towards favoring the slightly smaller guy with nice hair. This is a fantastic piece of work and I love the two of these characters together! The amount of work that went into these costumes is amazing, and I'm sure that the costume makers are just as cool. I love that staff. I'm not big on the Renaissance, despite living in a Renaissance era gate-house (next door and across the river from the executioner's house outside of the town boundary) for a week. (Hostel 99 in Cesky Krumlov is a part of the old gate house complex and the swanky rooms [sans electricity and indoor plumbing] are a part of the old Gatehouse, complete with "black kitchen" and really old gouges in the floor planks.) Anyway...this is super stuff. Great costumes and great characters. Hmmm....the shorter guy needs to go to Cesky Krumlov...my friend Blanka is into guys like that. Just sayin'...

Great to see you with a fellow costume maker! I like his staff, and the kilt is a nice touch. Looks like you had fun! :)

You and your buddy make quite a team, Mike! Fantastic work on both of these costumes! Looks like you're having a ball with this!

The party is assembling ! Find some more such characters and you'll be able to go adventuring, explore some dungeons and fight some dragon ^-^ But such characters may be rare, it may take time to find them ^-^

Absolutely fabulous scene. I can easily see why the two of you had everyone digging for their cameras Great work

Excellent photo showing great detail of both costumes! Yours is by far more thought out and cohesive. While the other has fantastic elements (that staff!) they do not make sense together, perhaps a work in progress? His helm is interesting but matches nothing else. The staff and mace (?) do not go with armor but would fit with your outfit pretty well. If I did not play WoW I'd probably not notice as much but I do and ...I do. =)

doing a good job on these outfits. I know it hard as I was trying to make a buckskin out fit one time. i got a lot of deer hides on the open day of deer hunting because most of them was not saving they hides and I tan over 30 of them i guess. i did not do it as the old timers or the Indians. That would have been real hard. I did leave hair on five or six of them and made a big blanket with two of them together. I got hold of the chemos I needed that had the deer hide tanning to use and when to work, I thought I did good as i made some boots and a shirt. i lost the boots and shirt some wheres in time. I still have the blanket. never use it lol. I then meet some one that tan deer also and his was so soft to the feel as mine was hard. Oh well that how it goes. i did my best. You both did real good.
