Description

Babel Drum is a circular stainless steel tongue drum to be played with the hands or fingers. It produces a range of eight beautiful notes in the G Major scale, with no previous drumming experience required! Part of the Musical Play Trail on Boscombe Pier Bournemouth

We have wooden versions at school in the music room. They are basically wooden boxes, but have the same patterns cut into them. You play them in a similar was to lets say a glockenspiel.

And it makes a beautiful sculpture as well. Looked this up on the Internet and found there is quite a subculture out there complete with music videos. What a lovely sound they produce.
