Description
With Ute home now,she is doing excercises to get back into shape asap.i got some not so good news by my medic,i have only 19% of breathing volume (in a normal breathing cycle in-and out),time to get over with smoking if i want to stay around with some lifequality.i am going to quit smoking today,no pills,no therapy no crap all,just fighting with my inner demons,now i am ready to fight the inner sob.

Cold Turkey is going to be hard but probably the best way. Warn Ute that you are not going to be your cheerful self for a few weeks and not to take any outbursts or flying objects personally. I wish you all the luck in the world because this is going to be a fight, but one well worth winning. The Doc Can DO It!

GOOD for you, Rene! You're strong and you can do it! My dad quit cold turkey when I was still in high school - he just put the last pack in the trash, and never looked back. He lived to be 94. This is a great thing you're doing, Bro! We want to see your wonderful renders - like Frank, here - for many years to come!

on that note... I'm gonna go have me a cigarette - lol... I've been smoking about 12, 13 years.... I started a few months after my Mom died from Lung Cancer - smart... I felt like puffing smoke and I didn't want to do the pot.... at least my drinking is pretty much non existent. I drank a glass of wine on new years - haven't had any since... and the time before that was 6 months earlier at a wedding... I haven't gotten drunk this whole last decade... I haven't smoked pot in over a decade and it's legal here now - lol

Good luck Rene. My mom quit smoking the day she recieved the news shes had lung cancer. That was close to four years ago. her health hasn't been the same ever since. She's on full time oxygen now. From the looks of it, my brother and his fiance are next in line. Since I'm taking the brunt of caring for mother, I told them that when it was their time they were on their own. I know I may sound and come off like an asshole, but they have had plenty of time to quit. I begged my mom to quit for over 38 years. I still don't know why they haven't made cigarettes illegal. Seems the right thing to do since it takes so much from so many.
