Description
I am often asked "How can you let them go?" followed by "I would just love them so much I couldn't do it." Then, "I would be so afraid that something would happen to them."
If you look at Dexter's eyes, and you care anything about his feelings, I don't see how anyone could keep him in a cage for the rest of his life. He started this about 2 weeks ago. I knew then to plan for his release. If you notice, the questions always start with "I". People to often forget that what they want is not the right thing where animals are concerned.
Dexter has been with me for a few months. He will soon be free. That is what he wants. That is what I can and will give him. For those that do not know, he is a gray fox.
Quite handsome, isn't he!

Such a good looking chap! I feel the same about sick pet animals. Some people keep elderly and ill pets alive long after the animals should be allowed to be released by death.

Wow, he looks so well & in superb condition. I can see how he wants to be back out there & yes there are all the worries out there but I (yes the I) know he would hate being caged up. It is his nature to be free. You do an amazing job of getting them ready. We get the, I couldn't bear to let him go, I feel this & that in the dog world.
