This is to back up Andrews comment on my previous post. Here you see the dingy sleeping conditions for the crew on board the Trincomalee. Height in there from floor to ceiling is about 5' (1 1/3 M). These quarters are on the gun deck and also mixed in with the wounded so life was extremely hard to cope with.
