Iphis Bliss (far left) was in the middle of the night only few days old, delivered by Nightshade's predecessor, Draco, to the farmer Eamund Bliss and his wife. They had just lost their own newborn child. Iphis forster mother dies when Iphis is six but her forster father, Eamund first told her the truth when she was seventeen. From very early on Pentwahir educated the young Iphis in secrecy and gave her a the most excellent knowledge anyone could get. At the same time Iphis, a very bright and strongminded girl trained in weaponry by her own wish. Also when Iphis was six, a very young Nightshade took over the protection of the farm girl in the small northern villages, because it seems that someone tries to exterminate the whole Royal house of Korr. The old king, been dead for three years now, saw all his three sons die or disappere as Iphis real father, the crownprince Ardanchecht did. That's why the last mentioned brought her daughter to safety in time. Nightshade, now in the first of his fourties, was early on in his life as a kid saved from a more criminal path by Pentwahir who send him to the crown ranger then, Draco. Today Nightshade is a strong and very respected leader of his very individualistic and skilled rangers. Darkhawk is Nightshades halfsister. She is born in Earth's parallel world Hell, but has the same father as Nightshade. Pentwahir knew Darkhawks mother, Karheel long time back from talks through a dimensional gate. Karheel one of the most powerful demons in magic tried to change the brutal evilness in Hell to a better place. And here Pentwahir was presented for her then, very young, charming daughter, Taaranheer (Ta.A-Ran He-Er) - on Earth known as Ladyknight Darkhawk. Darkhawks mother was attacked by the lord of Hell, the gruesome and tyrannical Baloch who wanted Karheel as consort. She refused. In time she contacted Pentwahir and by combined efforts they brougt the teenage girl Darkhawk onto Earth. Arriving here, Nightshade saved her live. Incident not mentioned here, but Darkhawk recognized Nightshade as a close relative by her very strong senses. She has the most powerful magics of all on Earth. Magic has both a light and a dark side, the last one is evil but the first one, light of magic can turn into dark and evil magic if misused. So magic of the light is defensive only, used against dark magic to outbalanced it. Darkhawk knows that but her physical strengt, ability to fly in her Hellish form she fears nothing. She can have a violent temper if provoked but is mostly a friendly joker - like calling Pentwahir "uncle" as he was a protector and friend when she needed one. Pentwahir, he is over 800 years old, an outmost wise and skillful magician with a knowledge like nobody else. The Light Elven praise him as one of their own enlighted leaders. He has his secrets from his youth, knowing more than he tells - even to his three protégés: Nightshade, Darkhawk and Iphis. Iphis knowing that - and she tries to uncover the events happening, many hundreds years ago on her not easy way to the throne. Like a detective she finds connections and explanations, and finally presses Pentwahir to tell the whole story as it really was 800 years ago.
