Description
This is a hood ornament from the car museum in Deer Lodge, Montana.
But!
It's also a celebration!
The Kansas City Royals swept the Orioles in four games and are going to the World Series! The Royals haven't been to the World Series since 1985, and they're the first team to ever win eight straight to get there.
So for my good friend Jo (RodS's wife), and any other Royals fans out there (including Bill) ...
Congratulations! :)
I hope they win the Series, but wow ... even if they don't, this is an amazing accomplishment.

We just got to Casper, Wyoming, and the first thing Bill did when we got here was turn on the TV and watch the last two innings. He's a happy guy! :)

My ears are still ringing from all the hooting and hollering from upstairs! LOL Yeah, Jo's one happy lady, so tell Bill he has company! :-D Now wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if St. Louis came back and won the NL playoffs..... It would be like 1985 all over again! I just showed this to Jo (I managed to get her to leave the TV for a few minutes LOL), and she loves it - she said she just loves the wings and color on this wonderful close up - and I do too, of course! Beautiful hood ornament. :))))) Congrats on the Royals winning. :)))) I don't watch much sports. :))) The only sports I have ever watch is the Super Bowl and a Nascar racing. LOL!!! A classic art deco hood ornament captured with style & panache! Now I'm going to have a hard time figuring out who to root for in the World Series, because the SF Giants clinched their spot tonight. I lived in the SF bay area for many years & still live just a few hours away, but it would also be amazing to see an underdog Cinderella team go all the way to finish such an incredibly improbably season. I guess I'd be happy with either outcome...
