Nightingales Nursing Home suddenly shut as the owner is only interested in money and not people. See a fairly accurate report of this Here
I arrived an hour after the staff had been told that they were all redundant and that all the patients had to be out within 24 hours.
Bill, being funded by the local authority and having dementia, could not be found a space in Bournemouth or Poole and was moved to Surrey, a 2 hour drive from his daughter.

What a touching shot, well done to capture this moment. It angers me when owners of such homes do this, it angers me they cannot at least wait and just not take in any more should vacancies be available or at least give far more time to obtain suitable accommodation more local to loved one's. So typical of this country and the way things are run, I know it's a business for the owners but people matter... we are all just a number on a form these days. Seems humanity ceases to exist in the name of capitalist ambition. I wish Bill all the best and hope things work out for him to eventually be closer to his family once more. It is uncanny how Ralph looks rather sad too, maybe he picked up on the atmosphere, which I'm sure was rather depressing given such news.
