Description

I've been prompted to address some improvements to this image. It has been a long road, but I think we finally made it. Improvements made: • Mud added to the sides and front of vehicle. • Tires sunk into the mud. • Tracks added behind vehicle. • A darker shadow now appears below vehicle. • Water in the gully now is murky. • GISD has been tweaked for an overall improvement in appearance. Many thanks again to Dune (for the Mountain Road file through NWDA and many additional bits of information), Jochen (for the LR110 truck and help with getting it right) and Oshyan (for his help and ideas to get the overall image to look at best quality).

The tire tracks go where they should for a vehicle that is sliding on the mud, and the mud has just the right texture for making the truck slide. A very interesting image. Nice mountains, and I like the low clouds.

Extraordinary work Bob! This render really shows what hard work, taking your time and attention to fine detail can produce. The outcome equals the effort! This one gets the fine distinction of being Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...and a favorite too! I wish they had a rating of 10 for images like this!

Thank you Pete, I appreciate your visit very much. I owe a lot to 'Dune' for his help on this and other image over the past months. The road, water setup and the tracks were all rather tricky getting things right. I had spent a lot of time on this one.
