I am a developing artist working on improving my abilities to create beautiful digital landscape compositions. Without the help and suggestions of the many fellow artists in this community, it would be a long time before I reach the next level.
BIO
I am a retired procurement professional who has long had an interest in photography and painting; and, lately in computers and photorealistic natural landscapes. I hope to become more proficient and perfect my abilities to produce acceptable work. My experience in art started at a very early age when I would spend many hours sketching and painting. I had instruction at The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I did some freelance work for Flying Models, Model Airplane News and Top Flite Models creating plans and illustrative construction sequences for magazines and kit models. I had spent more than 20 years designing, building and flying radio controlled model airplanes...a very rewarding hobby for me. During the 1970s, I spent 11 years in the hobby of "bonsai"; the Japanese art of miniature trees. In my first 7 tree entry in a contest, all 7 trees were awarded ribbons in various categories. Japanese landscaping became a passion for me where I completed a 3 year project creating a Japanese landscape around my home in Oak Forest, Illinois. I also did this work for several other people in our community. In 1987 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I currently make my home. The love of the American southwest and all its beauty is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Now that we have computers, digital cameras; and, Terragen; I'll have enough to do for a long, long time.

It looks like the truck is slipping and sliding. It needs to have mud on it. Love the fog!

Thank you for your visit and suggestion. I tried to add mud to the truck by increasing the 'dust' that was in the model increasing its opacity; but, it did not work and I gave up on the idea.

The vegetation is WONDERFUL.

Definitely needs to be seen in full view. Really a wonderful image and render. I hate to even mention it but I think I would have turned the front wheels towards the center of the road like the rear end broke loose and the driver is still trying to recover. It could add to the sense of the slippery condition of the road.

Thanks for your visit and suggestion. Good idea; but, there are limitations with the model. I don't think I'm able to redirect the position of the wheels.

Thank you Mark. If I can figure it out, I'll be putting some mud on the sides and tires of the truck; get the license plate legend to show up; and, get rid of that strange strip running along the water.
