Description
The Orangery at Kensington Palace was built in 1761 by Sir William Chambers. Historically Orangerys were built on wealthy estates between 17th-18th Century with its original purpose as a greenhouse maintaining citrus trees and other exotic plants/shrubs during the winter.
This Orangery is now a restuarant offering breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea.
I realise this there is more garden than the building itself, but I find this avenue of shrubs reminds me of the cone trees at Hampton Court - both a joy to see.
I'm told afternoon tea at the Orangery is a must when visiting this place :)
Many thanks for viewing!!!

Great panorama. Very well done.

I love the selective colour/monotone feel to this; and it is a beauty to behold these mature and well-kept trees!

Great use of selective colour and blur! It really focuses your attention on the long walk to the orangery!
