Description

while out hunting, there are other animals and birds that inhabit the forest. here is one such animal - the Douglas Pine Squirrel from Wildlife.com: The DOUGLAS SQUIRREL (Tamiasciurus douglasii), sometimes called a Chickaree, inhabits West Coast pine forests from California north into Canada and Alaska. Douglas Squirrels are small -- only about a foot long, including their tail. Very active and noisy, naturalist John Muir called them the "squirrel of squirrels" because they possess "every attribute peculiarly squirrelish enthusiastically concentrated." they have an interesting sound when they talk and it is a joy to watch them go from tree to tree. This little one just sat there and let me take his picture, several in fact. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend thanks for the comments and faves

And a big 'Hello' to you Mike, yes, at last I am back here at Rendo and with my first post in a long time, and it feels good, especially as you are the first to comment on my 'Blessing Buddha', thank you for that - and what a way to go, I just adore Squirrels - you made my day ;)) I didn't know they come in such small size ? and I would love to hear them 'talk' ... What a Funny Face! It is really much smaller. It almost resembles our European squirrels. Only these are reddish and have small brushes on the ears ... Very nice photo!
