Description
I recently tried my hand at the Daz Carrara challenge for October: Create a magazine cover in the style of the old pulp fiction adventure genre. Unfortunately, real life kept me from finishing in time, but I DID finish and had a lot of fun and learned a lot from the effort. Here are two of the models I created for the project: A retro-spaceship ala Buster Crabbe style Buck Rogers, and a matching ray gun.
I found an image of a ray gun on the Internet as a starting point, then modified it to suit my taste: GOTTA have COOLING FINS, and that clunky lever-style trigger has to GO LOL!
I will post the finished cover tomorrow...

This is great work and brings back great memories. I actually owned a cheap ray gun similar to the one on the picture when I was a boy. It had some type of flint inside and if you squeezed that trigger properly the sparks would fill the red translucent area. I like your redesign better!
