Description

This little elk calf was taking a nap in the sun. Mom was standing over him grazing. She did not move far from him until he got up to play again.

Wonderful capture! He is going to be magnificent when he grows and avoids the hazards like cougar & coyote! If he stays healthy and alert, he'll avoid the wolf as well.
