Description
Spotted on a ledge high up when walking through Prague castle, Quit small, perhaps 40cms but really no idea what it symbolised..double winged lion??

A Winged Lion is usually St Mark, but I've no idea about double wings! Such an attractive object!

Although not an exact representation, this is close to being a replica of the legendary Griffin of mythology. Griffin: a mythical creature with the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion, typically depicted with pointed ears and with the eagle's legs taking the place of the forelegs. Look like butterfly wings to me and I don't see eagle's legs. In any case, a cool POV employed to capture this golden sculpture, Jean.
