Description

Reed and Skylar have finished interviewing the 20 candidates that have applied for the assistant's position. They recorded the interviews and had their close friend, Jessie Arrowhead look them over as well to help with the decision making. All the candidates were excellent with many of the qualities Skylar and Reed are looking for. But five of the candidates stood head and shoulders above the rest. Try as they might, the guys just couldn't narrow them down any further. 'I have an idea!' Says Jessie. 'Take them out to my parents ranch. We have a wonderful location that might be just perfect to give these guys a final interview. You can all breath the fresh air and feel more relaxed. With all five of them in one place, you can see how they react to each other. That might help you decide as well.' Skylar and Reed think Jessie's idea is great and so they go with it. The next week, they drive out to the location and set up some equipment to record the event. They have the five candidates driven out in a limousine. Soon, the candidates arrive. Jessie and Reed wave to them from the hilltop pavilion area. The chauffeur has opened the doors for them and tells them he wants them left open so he can enjoy the fresh air as he waits for their return. He hasn't been included in these proceedings. The five guys hike up the hillside and soon arrive at the pavilion where Reed and Skylar are waiting for them. They all seem to be getting along fine together. Conversations are intelligent and animated. They have questions for Skylar and Reed as well as answering their questions. After a few hours, a delivery truck arrives bearing a fine lunch and beverages. A troop of delivery men bring the refreshments up the hill to them. They all dive in and have a great picnic meal in the open air. They all seem to love it just a much as Skylar and Reed. Jessie has been view the proceedings via the video link they set up for him. He tells the guys he is still having trouble deciding which one they should choose. After lunch, the conversation shifts to the candidates asking Skylar and Reed what they really want to do with their recent windfall. It seems, all five have done their homework on the guys. As they all converse, many ideas are floated out. So many in fact, Reed and Skylar have some difficulty keeping up with them. After a lengthy session, Reed takes Skylar aside. They both get Jessie's attention and discuss further what these five guys have presented. After some serious reflection on the proceedings, Jessie makes a surprising but perhaps inspired suggestion. 'I think you should hire them all and bring them into your benevolent trust!' Both Skylar and Reed get big smiles on their faces as they realize the wisdom in Jessie's suggestion. They turn to the candidates and give them their decision. Now all that remains is the formalities. Nice going guys! May your endeavors prosper with these new people. M4 and LoRez characters. Great scene and wonderful story - while for some, it would appear that the play is done and that they should exit, stage left. However there are those who feel that the contest is still at the Beck and Call.
