Description

The fun Carrara challenges continue, and this is my latest entry into the Carrara challenge this past month. No, it's not a typo in the title - it was done based on the specs requested by the challenge host. The theme was pulp magazine cover and this title, date and price were fixed, but the story titles and tag lines were my own. More details and links to WIPs can be found in the challenge thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/698411/ The WIPs also detail my struggles with composition for this particular work. Even after all is said and done, I am still not sure this composition was the strongest, probably because I still don't know which part of the story I'd want to highlight the most here. This challenge round's rules are here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthread/47148/ Now I am in charge of hosting the next one and I am terrified, because I don't think I can top the great fun theme ideas others have come up with... As always, I'd love to hear your reactions, opinions and critique. Thank you for stopping by to look at the image, and if you have a moment to leave me a few words in the comments, I'd really appreciate it. Also, if you'd like to see the image without the titles, please let me know and I'll post the title-free render. Software Used: DAZ Studio for human figure posing and setup. Marvelous Designer for the cloth, Carrara for everything else. Content Used: Victoria 6 by DAZ3D - http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-6 (The morph, however, is my own.) Droid by DAZ3D - http://www.daz3d.com/droid Sci-Fi Bedroom by Stonemason - http://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-bedroom Poppies are from the Essence Bundle by Mada - http://www.daz3d.com/essence-bundle Head piece is a freebie by the excellent freebie creator Oro_snake - http://www.morphography.uk.vu/dlqueen.html but this is the piece I actually butchered and only used as the base for the hair I was going to create.

Great work. Has a very Golden Age of SF feel to the colors and presentation. Well done!
