Description
We were having coffee today and I got caught up in the blossoms of the Christmas Cactus on the table in front of me. I pulled off one of the flowers that were beginning to shrivel and crumpled it between my fingers. A fine shower of yellow pollen and what looked like they might be seeds fell to the dark placemat below. We've still got a few fruit flies hanging around and I wonder if they could have fertilized the flowers and if the seeds would grow. Since I have way too many plants already, I decided to pass up on the experiment. It was very tempting, though.
My husband thinks I have a dirty mind (he likes it, though) so perhaps that was why I focused my camera on the plant's sexual organs, the stamen and pistils. Nah,I thought it would just make a good picture.
I hope you enjoy it.

LOL......cool pic. After many many years, mine finally died of an unknown disease. Maybe it was just old. I never did get another one. This image makes me smile!

Beautiful shot - very intense colors & an interesting structure. A little fuzzy in full size zoom, though, so I prefer the unzoomed version...
