I cannot post anything worthy of this day.. So..
Having seen this evolve over the last month or so into this magnificent tribute to those fallen.. I thought I'd post these for folks out there who had not been amazed at it..
There are over 884,000 ceramic poppy's around and on The Tower of London now, over 4 million people have filed past to look at it, and still they come...
I don't normally 'Do' modern art', but this is magnificent and truly worthy....
Least We NEVER forget...

I am awed! My lady and I were talking last night about the fact we saw no Veteran's Groups out with Poppies this year. Other than a few restaurants offering a "free meal" to veterans there just doesn't seem to be much interest...so sad what this country is becoming... This is an amazing tribute...graphic yet powerful! Thanks for sharing, Rob!

This really is a magnificent display, thanks for posting it mate. Sadly today so many do forget as we live in a world where many only think of themselves.

Remembrance can be a bit hit or miss these days, but this is just so perfect....

Thanks, Rob! Really amazing. Thanks a lot for the aerial view of the Tower (I've never seen it from this view, and it gives a good idea of the layout and size). The lower photo is like seeing a huge, even flow of lava, glowing with heat. A beautiful image well worth keeping. A very fitting memorial to all who suffered and paid the ultimate price for the folly that laid the foundation for all the follies that came thereafter.(No smiley today - it's a somber day. Armistice, yes, but with all the losses, no joy).

Magnificent Rob. Saw some pics just like this on the news tonight !!

Yes! I also saw the news on this side of the pond and they featured this wonderful memorial effort at the Tower. Stunning, beautiful and quite appropriate.

Quote: "I cannot post anything worthy of this day" I respectfully disagree. This is more than worthy. Sharing these puts the scope of that poppy project in perspective. Staggering!

Cool shots, coincidentally falling on the same day as our Veterans/Armistice Day. i really like the POV in the first one. I assume this is a tribute equivalent to our Memorial Day here in the USA, mate.

This is truly a magnificent scene - and a worthy tribute to those who have fallen, and those who still stand against the powers of darkness so we may be free. A beautiful post, Rob! Thank you!
