Description
Another shot of the impressively feathered Ladder-Backed Woodpecker that I posted a few times ago, this time showing his cute little face a little better.
Zoom will show better feather detail.
Thanks so much for your recent comments and views.

Super clarity and detail. I have great admiration for photographers who can take wildlife pictures and yours are beautiful. In the past when I have tried to take pictures of birds they are usually half way out of the shot before my camera clicks.

Woody woodpecker at work. A magnifique host of patterns and textures contrasted against the ideal bokeh background in this snap, Maria.

Pure concentration, when at work - trying to find a morsel ;) and a fine capture by you, doing what birds to best to survive - it's an open and free Super Market ! way to go - if only we could be like birds ? BB

Quite a curious crop, but i like it, and the bird is beautiful. Caught in an inquisitive pose. Exposure is almost like a high-key shot, which works really well. I need to try this myself & not be so obsessed with levels. Thanks for the idea :)
