Description
I decided to visit Sand Arch largely because it was reached by a short level walk. However, there was a surprise waiting for me. The trail passed between two rows of sandstone fins. Not for claustrophobics.

I could cope with that, but I can't manage to be in a room with the door closed. Very exciting adventure!

To me, that looks incredibly inviting. I would unintentionally block the path, just standing there staring around in every direction, taking pictures like a crazy person. What a gorgeous spot!

I was concerned about having my shoes full of sand, but luckily I wear high tops so it was not an issue. superb capture

I did notice the sand was very fine. My white socks were pink when I got done for the day.

A striking and looming shot, feeling like a descent into a great cave of forbidden secrets. And your ultra white sky is a great contrast to that deep salmon pink. You got the feeling of cloistered intensity, the striking beauty, and the deep 'call' of this place. And your comment about the sand and how it colored your socks reminds us that that ground is actually quite granulated. (It looks solid.) I love the way you give us the sky---it helps make this timeless. Beautiful work, and I'll be back for more; but after seeing all your journeys, it's always special to sit and comment on them. This gallery is a cornucopia.
