Description
After a short time the trail widened into a sandy area. If you look to the left you can see what looks like an eagle's head. The trail continued on to the left of the arch but a fence barred the way with a sign that read "Closed due to continued vandalism".
It never ceases to amaze and disappoint me that people will travel hundreds of miles and hike more miles to see spectacular sights. They gaze upon these natural wonders and think "This is beautiful. Let's ruin it."
Some people are like animals, pissing on everything to mark their territory.

We were taught to leave nothing behind but our thanks. Your photos of this adventure really make me feel present there with you, so much better than the long shots we normally see.

Awesome shot. It is awful that there are a few buttheads who ruin things for everyone else. :/

A world for themselves and behind every gap I feel life (even if I do not see same). Wonderful soft light coming from the colored rocks and it does not scary affect how the dark cold mountain other mountain range.

I see a giant chicken talking to the 'Mr Bill" doll, but hey ... that takes nothing away from the beauty of the place or the impact of your photography! :)
