Description
Set in my Amazon CE universe, this is an unrelated image of two of the characters, Orianna and Elyssiany. Orianna is the ship's terraforming/exobiology specialist. Elyssiany is the pilot of the smaller colony ship subcontracted to the main ship, Rocinante IV.

Orianna snapped her fingers and Drone105 captured the image. She examined the result and made a save gesture.
"Squirt that to my personal storage will you, Dee105? Ely, are you done playing with the local megafauna or can we finish this hike?"
Elyssiany took one last image and gestured the camera app to close. "Done! That is the most adorable..." Ely looked confused momentarily, "... whatever it is. What's the Captain's policy on pets?"
"It's like a crustacean, but only if it was totally the opposite. And plantish." Orianna checked the regulations and and after a quick scan of ship policy, replied, "Sorry, Ely. Cap'n has a strict no plants, no critter policy. Ever since that butter-shark incident in '88. It took 3 weeks for the ship to filter the stench out of the life support systems."
"Maybe I could smuggle it in"
Orianna poked her companion playfully in the ribs. "Three freakin' weeks! Besides, you have no idea what it eats."
Ely pouted and stepped down from the rock she'd climbed onto to photograph the alien. "You got me there, Ori. Well, " She looked up the hill to the forest and the terraforming towers in the distance. "Where to now? Follow the cutline back to camp or take the easy hike through the washout?"
Orianna grinned. "Washout of course! Where else will we see fossils like this one?"
Ely stood silently, her mouth open in awe. It was a good fifteen ticks before she said quietly, "This whole rock is part of an animal?"
"You bet! The skull, I believe. It's been extinct for 4 million years but just imagine small herds of those things wandering around."
Ely stepped back and called up her camera app for a quick, wide shot. "Holy... crap..."

I think I used every tool I have to put this together. FilterForge gave me rock, ground and clothing textures. The "fossil" was created in Incendia, imported into zBrush to UV map and paint, imported into Ivy Generator to grow the vines. The critter's carapace was made in Incendia. The critter modeled and painted in zBrush. (He is adorable, I'll have to make a separate image someday!) The larger rocks were modeled and painted in zBrush. Lots of use of surface replicators to place the rocks and plants. And so many great assets from all over. It'd take me hours to list them all.
Mix it all together in Carrara and bake for 55 minutes...
Thanks for having a look, everyone. Have a great weekend!
