a minimal highly expressive piece, where you've made a background tower (from a Russian Orthodox church, perhaps?) and the sun, both designs in a flattened peach-beige sky. It has a nostalgic feel, and it's very graphic. You've made the frontal growth like the fringes on a huge tapestry (the trunks are lighter than everything else, in there, too, I like that very much), and the bare branches give a windswept, forlorn feel to the scene. The hue is just right for the piece. Beautifully and evocatively done.
