here's that 'pairing' I've been talking about. The woman seems to be staring at the man. And the man looks like a monk---his collar looks like a frock, and his expression looks like someone who's been in prayer or silence all day. Your shading is very strong---I mean strong as in 'good'---and esp in the man, the shading around his eyes is very expressive. The woman seems to be lost in something to our left, and I like how you get full "humanity" in these snapshot-poses: a person looks away and you capture a full moment with it, a full personality. You're facial work is getting so perceptive in this series, and you get the feeling of a whole person, and a whole 3 dimensional head. This series is a joy.
