Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Helle, this presentation is absolutely amazing. Every time you create one of these in the series I have a new favorite.

A real change-up, Helle, though you've done collages like this before (and I've loved them, as you know). As your letters go, this one is more open, and you've collaged news clippings and illustrations which makes this more 'gritty' and of the day. And you've "aged/yellowed" the edges. It has a lot in common not only with the collage work of the 70s and 80s (Jasper Johns and others) but with the 'old' moderns, like Picasso and Braque, who put newspapers in the middle of pure paintings. Point blank, you know how much I love this style of yours (with paper scraps and news clippings, even pieces of wood); you've worked this medium before and I've always loved it. It's a more 'bleached' medium, to be sure, and more aged (because of the yellowed paper). You do such interesting things with light here---the way you lighten the top of the image, as if sun were falling on it; or how you whiten the tops of the letters (with such physical means---white out? paint? maybe even glue?). It's as if there were a top light-source hitting the piece. I love the line illustrations in it too---they make us feel we're in the middle of a workday, the way Picasso and others did (by putting news headlines in their paintings); and the bold scraps of "S" or "nvirke" (???) and the rust/aging around the edges all add to the sense of old scraps of the day-to-day. This can be as lyrical as your folklore birds and trees; it's just with a more gritty medium. Once again you remind us of the possibilities of playing with the simple alphabet. I need to do something like this. Wonderful. Keep it going, changes and all, you're keeping me on my toes and ever searching, and I'm sure you're doing that for everyone else. I love it.

OOOOOOOOHHHH for ''O'' Helle:) I love the perspective of this piece! The 'O' seems an entrance/door/window... to the scenery behind. I go through it and i find different places to explore. It is incredible the ambient that you created, so alive with the persons occupied in several tasks...and you showed different moods and contrasts of a normal day... I love your choices of colors and images for this collage. You did an illustration, not a collage of simple pieces of news papers. i feel that you thought each piece that you put here ,still, your own intervention with your brush:). Well, and Mark said a lot more:) but in reality, you offered incredible possibilities to a creative alphabet, since you begun playing with the letters and you opened the door to this formidable and unexpected serie.

Beautifully done; your alphabet is a true encyclopedia of art!

How wonderful! I'm glad I don't speak Danish, so I can enjoy the forms you've used without worrying about what might be said. I'm a compulsive reader, and I'm happy to be able to relax with this and just enjoy it!
