Description

This is an independent crew vehicle I put together to go with my Mars Nuclear Thermal Rocket, This is based on a proposed Russian design for an advanced capsule, (a large one with thermal tiles, like a shuttle). This is attached to a European ATV style propulsion unit, with 2 more solar panels (to give extra electrical power out at Mars). The background images are from NASA.

Although I really like the image and it works very well as is. . . I think I might have put a star field where the pure black is now. Just a thought. . . Have a great turkey day.

Thanks Greywolf - I did consider it, but with this image I am shooting for realism, and you would not be able to see stars with a big bright Earth so close. You are right though, it would be pretty!

Wonderful work, that really looks like something NASA or Europe would be making, with an excellent level of realism and detail. Very cool!
