Me, in St Petersburg Russia, a couple of years ago.BIOI studied astronomy at University, and it is still a passion of mine. I am also a keen photographer, mainly panoramic work these days.
I enjoy travel and have been to many interesting places, and I am interested in languages, and speak some russian, ans well as the usual school stuff. The day job is fault tolerant capacity planning, but graphics is more fun!
You can see more of my graphics work at http://www.starbase1.co.uk

Nick, Another amazing model. I do have a question for you though. Where do you find the detail drawings of these spacecraft designs. Do you copy from the exact designs or do you take some liberties when you are creating your spacecraft models? I have been trying to create the new MCEV capsule and its been somewhat frustrating because of the limitation of the program that I'm using. I guess that it comes down to the fact that LW has IMHO a steep learning curve and I have been using Bryce for over 15 years. Any suggestions? Again, wonderful work as with all your models they are top notch! Have you ever considered selling your models here at Renderosity or other websites in an OBJ format? I think that you could make a killing as your work speaks for itself! Best regards, David Robinson Artist member of IAAA since 2003.

That model is a mix of elements. Also I have a large collection of space art and space exploration reference books, and I get very busy with google image search! I tend to make the details as accurate as I can, but I tend to make up the finest level of detail with whatever I think looks good. I agree, LW is very difficult to learn, if I was starting now I would go for Modo, I'm trying to learn it now, its much more logical than LW in my opinion. I'm not really interested in selling my models - but quite a lot of them are available for free download to members of the Foundation 3d forums! Head over there, and help yourself! You can either become a paid member, or contribute a file to get access to downloads. If you want plans of unusual craft, search for Scott Lowthers "upship" site, he does a stunning job of hunting down the details on obscure space projects,
