Description

To boldly go where no man, or woman, has gone before. More of my once hidden and/or neglected fun and imaginative period of Bryce and Poser work from 2002 through 2006, now on display. At the rate our manned space program is progressing, we might see this in, say, a thousand years? I can't locate the list of creators of the many objects I used on much of my work from back then, so many thanks to whoever came up with this gem of a spacecraft. And, have a Happy Black Friday weekend. Ciao.

Very cool creation. Keep digging out those old renders! Yes, at the current rate of our space program, by the time the develop any sort of replacement for what we just retired, it too will be drastically outdated.

I had to work through the weekend, so I couldn't come back to RR till now. I'll do more catching up in your gallery through the week...but I'll also do a few images today. You've mentioned that you can no longer remember whose models you used, etc: Working with models is soooooo foreign to me, having never done 3D of any kind. I have no idea what's involved---ie, taking a template, then modifying, stretching, coloring, fitting it into the artwork, then rendering...It's such a foreign art to me. I assume it involves time and patience and thought. What's struck me through this series is that you've consistently gotten vibrant, often fun, sometimes day-glo, and always popping results, as if they came right from your head to the page. They feel that way to me. (I know they didn't come out in 2 seconds, but they feel that way. Free, in other words.) This is a delightful treatment of this ship, the hues on the ship are a deep crimson/chrome, with those yellowish elements in the middle. And against that, a deep amber/orange/purple sky, with a wonderful rich feeling. And orbs with 'echoes' around them (overlapping orbs). Your background sets off the ship, and the whole is like so many others in this series, it jumps and dances visually. I agree with Denise (as I always do), it's glowing, fun and rich. And once again, your signature is in a harmonious hue---it looks like you lightened one of those background oranges: Small thing, but since I spent forever on things like that, in my pro days, I take to them immediately. Your color sense was just terrific with these pieces.
