Description

This is a house in East Avenue, Bournemouth which is let as flats, and is sadly not really maintained very well. I have always found it very attractive. See it in mono Here

It certainly is an elegant place! The framing makes this a great shot!

Wonderful looking house. The B&W version is my favorite in this case.

OH Yes. It is indeed a dream of a house. How sad, it is not kept in a proper shape. Yes, and the framing is great :)

That's funny, I always thought a Pseudo-Tudor was a phony teacher. Excellent frame for this and the black and white gives it a wonderful vintage 'last century' look.

Yes, yes, I know its 'tutor' but most Americans pronounce it 'two door'.

We have a suburb close to me called St Kilda. It's a trendy beach side area that was once full of ornate mansions and guest houses. They are all still there but are now all divided up into shoebox sized dwellings. My mate lives in one. It still has the lobby from 100 years ago complete with the front desk and ornate lead lighting. It even has prostitutes out the front on every corner.....I don't know if they were original fittings or not!!!!!!!!!

I think it's a beautiful building, I really like this style. But it makes me sad when they break up into flats, that's just wrong...

Nice looking house Andrea. Shame it's split into flats though. It's becoming very difficult and hugely expensive to find a decent sized family home where I live in Torbay. :)

It would make a lovely house for a family... converted back from flats... seems pretty secluded... nice shot

There's something so appealing about flats like this. You just know there will be wonderfully funky details and fun/annoying quirks. :)

I also like the way that you framed this one and the house looks to be in pretty nice condition - the gardens are in much needed work!
