I don't think I've ever seen on with the Verizon logo on it. Of course, I don't make a point of looking at them to see; but just the same..... Nice catch Harry! The sun looks to still be quite low too.

What a pleasing pattern on this one; I wonder if there are engineers whose job is to decide the patterns to emboss on these covers? I want that job! Great work finding a wet one, which makes that pattern jump right out at us, and a beautiful photo capture!

With HopeFadesEternal, I too have never seen a manhole cover with Verizon on it! I somehow picture Verizon to have its logos on the clouds...Like many of your early morning sidewalk or street or gravel captures, this has that bleaching early light of yours, the strong grainy textures you get at this hour, and an intense sense of atomized matter---like the surface is visible in its molecules. The light is intense, and there's even a flare on the long "V" above the name verizon. The water darkens and lightens the metal, simultaneously, and brings out the intensity of the materials. Another fine early morning shot of simplicity made to gleam. Very intense seeing. You're one of the few on this site who does shots like these. They gleam.
