Description
On the last big elevation gain of the trek here in the South unit of the Coyote Buttes. Have almost crested the rise when taking the last image posted, "The hills have eyes"(pls. see gallery). Directly across the way is the massive natural amphitheater, well the outside of it. :~) If you have missed the viewing of the amphitheater, pls. see the gallery.
I've shown another angle of this from atop the mesa to the West, but think this angle has better elevation. Some familiar with the images from this trek may notice the iron out cropping below in the left corner from " Spirit of the Sandstone". Great details below in the wash if taking in the full view.
