Finally. Alot of the other street scenes I've seen look as the street was just laid. Yours shows age and use.

Wow...thanks very much. I'm grateful you all like it. Yes Wyrm, I really can't abide squeaky clean scenes ostensibly set in the real world...there have to be bumps, grit, grime and scratches.

Could be an optimized scene for the film 'Brazil'. You should send this to Terry Gilliam.

This is a fantastically detailed image. I agree with the person who stated it needs an "11". Excellent work...

Thanks everyone, very much! The texture maps are a mix of my own stuff, native TS procedurals, a lot from Marlin Studio's cds, and several Darktree procedurals. In all, it took evening and weekend spare time spread out over about a month and a half. There's a later version I fiddle with occasionally, darker and somewhat more atmospheric, with revisions in the texturing, but it doesn't show well on the web.

Cool stuff! Your hard work pays off. It looks like a banged-up corner of Chicago where I used to get off the train.

Beautiful work. The mixture of new (technology used to produce) and old (time period, style) with "sears catalog" look applied to figures could lead viewers of printout to distraction figuring out when it was created and how. Just a few hints to other digital freaks of true origin.

My GAWD! That is gorgeous work! I love the attention to architectural details you've added to these buildings, as well as how awesome those distressed textures look. Nifteroo.

Such a dark and sinister scene. Hardly an image a (normal) person would slave over. But this is another of your famous Elevens!

Unreal! I love this sort of "mundane" image...a seemingly ordinary but yet not quite scene...the lack of any other people on the street lends the image a sort of desolate (and as already mentioned) and somewhat sinister/foreboding quality. Awesome
