My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Very cool ending to the series, especially with pictures of the big cats - perfecto! Thanks for a wonderful foray with the alphabet.

What an absolutely amazing way to end this series. I know I have said that many of them are my favorite, but I do believe you really have my favorite in this. The faces of these beautiful animals are the perfect ending. ( this should not surprise anyone). And yes, when you do something you enjoy, it isn't so much like work. It's just fun. Thank you for sharing.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

A beautiful image and fantastic color palette. A great way to end the alphabet. How about a series on numbers? That one could go on forever.

I was wondering if you'd use Zoo for the last one. That was the only thing I could think of for 'Z' (well, except maybe ZZ Topp - but I don't think you have any photos of said musician...LOL). This has been a really fun series - I know I've really enjoyed it - and yes, I'll miss it! But I'm sure you'll come up with something else, and continue delighting us with your photos. Hey, you could do numbers next..... I don't know how you'd relate all of them to photos, but just think of the infinite possibilities! :-D

Zounds, you've outdone yourself with this once--what a fun series; I've loved it all!!

Now this really would make a demon jigsaw! Brilliant! I've so enjoyed these, and I think maybe you should do number one to zero too, perhaps spread out to give me chance to catch up! I'm halfway through 'C'.

A fantastic ending to this series; I see many friends here: Taj, Almos, Keira, Manduvi and Ejea, and even one of those silly cranes that likes to dance with its shadow. Well played, Tara, well played!

WOOW Tara:))) it is a wonder to see all this images that you did, one after the other, from the 'A' to 'Z' !! I have seen each one and i enjoyed all of them very much. I put them in a row, right now ! and they are amazing! They show your creativity and we can see that you had really fun and joy, doing this:) All of them are beautiful pieces and I agree fully with those that said above, for you to come up with a new serie. It will be wonderful, i have any doubt:) and You finished with a fabulous portait for the 'Z', Tara. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOU .

WOW! You have really gotton into this series all the way, Tara. It has been a great joy to see them all and it is sad it is all over already. This one is a wonderful finale to this series. Good we have numbers too, huh? :) Thank you for taking up this. It was great fun :)

What, 'numbers': PUNCTUATION MARKS!!! Tildes! Accent graves! Dashes! SHIFT keys! Oh the possibilities are endless...Seriously, I read every comment, and it's just great that so many people are suggesting numbers, because they want this to continue. It's been a beautiful series, so filled with light and love, and I don't want it to end either---but it's been a MONTH for you, and you have the right to do other things, and you should. But you can see how much this series touched everyone, and that's great. And what better thing to suggest than numbers? Whatever you do, now, will be beautiful; just know how much this was loved. (Naturally, having read everyone, I'm tempted to start my comment, "They all suck! MOVE ON!" BUT! I've got enough taste to not do that.) Anyway: Once again, zoomed, this thing is wonderful. The array of faces, and the details---like on the parrot, or on the two birds on the right, which I believe you postworked in the original (lots of edgework in them, which I love)---are wonderful here. And you pack these creatures in, so they feel like a big family all wrapped up in a blanket, looking out at us. They even meld into each other---love how the two tigers meld, and some yellow from something moves into one of their faces. Blending can be a joy, can't it? This whole series has made blending a joy. Then two birds in the top corners, an eye peering out from the top, and another of your contrasting borders---this time in a deep orange, which is continued in your brushes. These borders have been part of the joy in this series. Truly, I've loved the colors you've chosen, and how your brushes framed them. And you spelled out the Title this time---first for the series? Yes? It's all delightful, and a perfect way to end this---I didn't know what you'd come up with to say "it's complete," but this does it---a gathering of creatures all stuffing into the frame to say goodbye. And your words were lovely and loving, even acknowledging the poor abandoned souls who've been waiting patiently for nearly a month for all this alphabet thing to leave with dignity...a bow, yes. I'm glad it was all such fun, Tara: It all felt so easeful. And you did your NEXT image with numbers! I mean, I don't know if you meant that, but it's just a fitting little bow to post a car photo w/ numbers. I'll get to that presently, but this was a month long delight, I'm going to miss it, and you now know that anytime you want to do a themed series, it will be welcome with big open arms. This series was just joy incarnate. Wonderful, Tara. A gift from above. Voila!
