My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Hello ... Tara, would you remember these lyrics by Donovan ? They call me mellow yellow ... I'm just mad about Saffron Saffron's mad about me They call me mellow yellow ... What, as old as 2007 or more ? - they look as fresh as a daisy - today! ;P and 'why' is that so ? (Dr.Karl Kruszelnicki, AM is a well known Australian science communicator and popularizer) I enjoyed that ;)) BB

These are gorgeous! Yellow is such a festive color and well, this is a festive image. I love the variations of yellow from bold to pastel to "rosy" since it's a rose that's showing itself in that nice, soft, almost tissue-paper sort of way. I love this series and it's gonna be so much fun going back and catching up...but thankfully I already know the alphabet and so I won't "learn" the letters in the wrong order and totally screw up the Alphabet Song....

Some very fine painting and beautifully integrated with the photos.

I wish more people zoomed this, the subtleties just abound, full size. Beautiful. The textures and shadows in the petals are beautiful. Painterly and also photographic. In fact you seem to contrast both. And the background (shadowed) flowers have such gentle shadow, and are so delicate. The flowers burst out of the darkness here...And you have lots of yellows, from bright to orangey to reddish to greenish, placed well against a black background, with snippets of leaves and branches. And your 3 part border uses the brushes so well, and in green, dark green and then yellow. With your 'burst' brushes again, in the outer frame. They act like braces for the corners. It's beautiful. The combo of painted with photographed is wonderful, this is beautiful...and it's been a terrific series. I can't believe you just have one more. The lowly Z. Great work, all of it. Really. As your fans attest, it's been a joy to see these unfold. A month long treat. Bravo.

Why Why... are these wonderful pics almost at an end?

Aww, you could start over at the beginning...your yellow is a masterpiece!
MrsRatbag
Or you could do colours; just think of all the variations in hues!

Fantastic work, reminds me of a poem I wrote...: "The Girl In Yellow" The girl was quit mellow and her favorite color was yellow too bad she could not find a fair fellow a fellow who bellowed her name and played the cello this would have been really a good hello to see the fellow who played the cello as he bellowed for the lady in yellow who was quit mellow.
