Description

Not up to Ronnie's standard for this sort of thing, but a record of this machine before I found a new home for it and its many siblings. See a montage of four more aspects of this including closed up Here

I had a bigger version of this - film size 118. Used it until they stopped making that film size (late 50s) - had to get it from Kodak HQ in Kingsway. Still have a couple of negatives, but the camera's long gone; not sure where, unless my mother threw it out!

This is in wonderful shape and definitely an antique since the model was manufactured from 1914 to 1917. I found one just now on eBay selling for about 50 pounds. Here is something from CameraPedia: "No.1 Autographic Kodak Jr. is a medium format film folding bed camera made by Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., USA and produced between 1914-27 with quantity 800.000+ units. This camera is a rare model and offered many lens/shutter combinations. There are Special models of Autographic Jr. cameras with various lenses, shutters and/or improved features or superior finish." I have something very similar and will have to dig it out of the closet to see exactly what it is.

delightful, and the detail is very inviting! All that partly rubbed out lettering (carved in metal I assume), with the rust very clear, and the indentations in the casing, and the the mooring screws, etc. Very sweet capture, rich with age and beauty. (Great to see the old worn-out f-stops and the like.) With the old leather strap atop. Lovely, I love when you share old objects with us; you always capture them with love and care.

That is an oldie and a fantastic montage on the other side. I have not had the opportunity to ever use an old bellows camera!

To hell with standards sweetie. When something like this looks great hang the lighting technique, this is just so great to look at period. I love this old camera.

A nice example - particularly with the red bellows rather than the more common black ones. The name of the camera comes from the fact that you can write directly onto the film using the little flip-up window at the back and the metal scribe, or stylus that fits in the sleeve below it. I have a few like this in my museum of photography.

What a lovely old camera did you ever use it, I have a Kodak vest pocket camera that I used to use but it took a 127 size film and they are not available any more.
