Description

It has been 111 years, today, since the first flight. I built this model 12 years ago, and I'm still very proud of it. What really amazes me is that it took less than 66 years from that first flight to the first landing on the moon. I'm pretty sure that this is available here. If not, it is at ShareCG. Rendered in Poser 6.

Well done The actual secret of the Wright brothers being the first was, in part, that no one knew how to fly. Wright flyers are famously difficult to control. Other attempts, notably Langley's, failed in part because no one knew how to operate the machines. Langley's design, after modification, was later successfully flown by Glenn Curtis, as part of his attempt to get the Wright brothers' patents rescinded.
