Description

"I'm going to show you the Feather in the Pot", Aaron said to me. We climbed up a hill to find another hole in a rock. "Its a nice view", I said. "Sit down and look again", Aaron replied. I sat down. Still, just a hole in the rock. "Bend down", he urged me. Ohhh, Feather in the Pot!

Got it! But could be a stingray too! :) Great capture, Mark, this series is very interesting!

It could be a stingray but I don't think you will find many in the desert.

It's not what you look at but what you see that matters! A perfect example of this.

Great use of negative space to create a kind of double image - very cool. One minor suggestion - I think the effect would be even more dramatic & pronounced if you cropped it along the bottom & left to eliminate the gaps in the rock...

Believe it or not all of that is rock. Those parts are just out in the sun.

Looking at it I can see your point. If I were going to make prints of this it would be easy to clone in the shadows. I might try that and see how it looks.

That's cool. I like the hole as a frame for that marvelous backdrop scene as well!
