Description

Balmoreah State Park West Texas There is a warm spring in West Texas that comes out of the ground at between 72F and 76F year round. It's a beautiful place with distant hills and dry air. There are no tall buildings, and very few short ones. The wind blows through your hair, birds are everywhere, and the sunsets are beautiful. Two species of desert fish live in the pools and canals here, both no more than two or three inches long. Even at this time of year the daytime temperatures are in the high 60s, and nighttime lows are well above freezing. I hope you enjoy this brief trip away from the city, my friend. :)
Happy Birthday, Corey!

When I look at this all I can think about is lowering myself into the water!

A truly beautiful abstract. Monet's Water Lilies - the huge wall-sized triptych (over 40 feet long!) that I used to see at the Museum of Modern Art in NY - immediately sprang to mind when I saw this...

beautiful, very active shot of this jewel-like water, and I see Monet in it too (ala Claude); and also it looks like these waters have sapphire and emerald and little lights in them. Wonderful for Corey, who lives in this huge city---a sweet breath of the big countryside for him, and a scintillating one too. It almost looks like it has gold in it. Very delicate capture, tara. And a big Happy Birthday to Corey, who I hope is healthy and well. Lovely dedication, in image and your very enticing description.

Such a lovely waterview; you're so good at these looking into the depths kind of shots...just another way of showing the light!

What fantastic colors, and I have no idea how you fixed (came to) this cool picture, Tara. What I love too is your writings underneath your post, it sounds lyrical, and intriguing to me. Thank you very much for all your words, my friend.

A very lovely photo, Tara! It's amazing how much color there is in this is one takes the time to study it for a while.

Oh, this is NICE! Yes, I could definitely find myself slowly sinking into this for a nice soak. Getting back out again might prove somewhat difficult, but I'm always up for an adventure. The idea of a pleasantly warm breeze fluttering through my hair as I luxuriate in blissful solitude sounds absolutely delightful. Thanks for this lovely picture, and easing me gently into my fifty-second year.
