Description
Rendered in vue 2014.5 final quality render time of 32 hours using photometric light. I have no Idea why it took so long the trees are TPF but only 2 of them (used dozens in the past no problem ) grass and weeds just vue veg files and the terrains quite small . Guess my pc just felt like a rest!

the long rendertime might be due either to the sheep (guess not :-) ) or to the quite low PoV while looking horizontal in a quite cloudy photometric atmos. The light must travel through the clouds, I've seen that in some of my own renders too. Using the spherical planet model - instead of the usual flat one - might help, I discovered. I do like the image quite much, but the sheep coats look quite solid and undetailed to me, and make huge contrast to the vegetation. Perhaps these can be turned into some kind of ecosystem withs curly surfaces. Whatever. But as said: very nice landscape anyway, and the sheep do add to it.

This is a lovely landscape, well done. I can totally imagine the long rendering times. due to the chosen angle, I can see a lot of weeds and grass. That's a lot of details to render and a lot of shadows to be calculated. Normally your grass is quite large, but in this scene I'd say the proportions are perfect, but due to that you have a lot of grass and weeds. Also due to the angle chosen you see a lot of the grass and weeds. I'm pretty sure all of that adds to the render time. Having said all of the, I really love the image. The colors are lovely, the sky is nice and the placement of objects is excellent. A pleasure to look at!
