Description
Every dark cloud has a silver lining.
Captured 12/17/14, mid day, right outside of my congenial condominium complex.
And, I reiterate that this current series of post storm cloud photos was taken by aiming in the general direction of the scene with my point-and-shoot camera, hoping for the best, because the LCD monitor which is used to compose an image was completely washed out by the sunlight, revealing nothing but my grayed out reflection. So, all of these cloud shots are the result of pure blind luck.

A really dramatic shot---big distant "cirrus" clouds (something like that) as backdrop; and those big dramatic dark cumulus's rolling across our view. With the clouds on the right arching over the sight, like they're about to take over. The trees against them---they're almost at 'attention', supplicating the cloud-gods. I love that you cropped it right at the roofline, so the trees stand in an ancient rite of worship. I accept what you wrote about shooting by chance, but I can't help but think, from my years in the arts, that there's still some inner eye-work going on, even as you struggle to get a pov from under all that sun. It's just how I look at it, but I wouldn't be surprised if your eye didn't catch some essence. In any case, it's very dramatic, and this series is not only dramatic, but very hopeful: If you get more of these, maybe you'll finally start getting some rain.

Fantastic shot - the silhouettes of the palm trees raise the level of this image a notch above the typical cloudscape. Whether you consider it luck or not, you chose to take this photo & I assume you did some postwork on it, so you should take full credit for it...
