Description

They agree to think about meeting the other one again. Same place, same time in a week from now. If either one of them should not show up, the other one should have to consider the date as end of story. Jack paid the bill and Vera ordered a taxi to drive her home. Jack got their coats and helped her to put it on. (Do we see love in the air? Do we?) Jack and Vera shake hands again. Jack didn't have the nerve to kiss her, although he would not have hesitated if she had asked him to. He accompanied her to the door, where they waited a few minutes in silence for the cab to arrive. She gave him a warm feeling and he smiled at her when she entered the car. Vera also had a special feeling about tonight and gave a deep sigh. Jack had treated her very friendly and with interest. That was new to her. Most people wanted to get rid of her as soon as possible. She would consider the new date very careful. It could be very important. Now she wanted to rest and realised that she was very tired. Jack walked home with some kind of a smile on his face that never ever would come off. "Wow!! What a date." This is what they did before..
