Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I read this story every year Marilyn and I think that it means as much to read it as it was for Jordan to experience it!

I think there was much magic in the air that night; the magic your son experienced seeing santa racing across the sky, and the magic you saw in his eyes. A beautiful story, thanks for sharing that.

I remember this story from before, and I love it. And your picture is perfect for your wish---to look up in the sky for our own miracle and magic. All that gets lost in the hubbub of the season. It's great that that flying star stays with you both to this day; and I mean, it's a 'miracle' all its own, not to mention its association with Santa. The image is all about darkness and mystery and a light shining right through it, which to me is the essence of the solstice and holiday season. (Chanukah is about winter lights too...) A beautiful story, image and upload; and I'm thankful you've shared it with us once again...

I echo what anahata.c said.

Your traditional holiday story is so great, I can just see Jordan as a little boy. :)
